We are the Wonders

When the church was born on the day of Pentecost, God used signs and wonders to bring about conversions and the spontaneous expansion of the church.

Sometimes the signs were the kinds of miracles we saw in the Old Testament. But often the wonders were changed lives, like we see throughout the Bible like Zaccheaus, who was transformed from a thieving tax collector to a generous penitent. Or Apostle Paul, who changed from a man who lead crowds to kill Christians, to a man who instead led crowds to Christ.

The woman at the well, the disciples, and so many others encountered Jesus and became the living, breathing signs and wonders that bore witness to the power of God.

Today, we are the wonders. When we follow Jesus, we’re changed by the Holy Spirit. We ’re transformed, and we begin to reveal God’s love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in our lives.
